Emergency Relief for victims of Cyclone Idai

In a recent letter, the SACBC called for donations to help those affected by the Cyclone in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi. The Southern Africa Catholic Bishops’ Conference has already sent some financial aid. But, with the death toll in Mozambique now standing at 746, more is needed.

“During this time of Lent, we ask people of goodwill to be more generous in their contribution, so that the church can continue to help the affected people,” the letter says.
